Residential Design – Low-medium Density Code
The client had an existing approval for 120 retirement village apartments dating back to 2006, but with changes in the local market and the local area plan, the client saw a greater potential for the site as a traditional townhouse development.
We designed 5 different unit variations with both 2 and 3 storey configurations including 3 storey streetfront terrace houses with rear access parking. The various designs allowed for efficient use of the site and added variety to both the internal and external streetscapes. The design was able to be approved as a Permissible Change to the existing approval and allowed the client to roll over the contributions paid for the previous approval.
