After renovating the kitchen & living areas of their 70’s home, the client wanted to update the bathrooms, but wasn’t happy with the layout of the family bathroom which had a cramped bathroom, separate toilet and wasted space in the laundry. An ensuite & second bathroom also needed updating to compliment the fresh new look of the living areas.
Having checked the structural supports and access to plumbing, we found that we could remove the internal non-loadbearing walls of the existing family bathroom & laundry to create one large space which could be treated as a blank canvas. Relocating the laundry into a large cupboard and relocating the external door allowed us to create a spacious family bathroom with room for a separate shower & bath. With the layout resolved, we designed the cabinets & selected the tiles, benchtops & all the fittings for the family bathroom, as well as the ensuite & second bathroom.
